Excitement has taken over from fear and apprehension about launching myself out into the world of the internet, wearing only art and soul.
This special place is where I come, to nurture all that I am contemplating or growing, where all I love merges together.
Welcome to my space.
I hope you find inspiration here.
REPRESENTATIONAL ABSTRACT
MYSTICAL AND SPIRITUAL
The journey led me here, where I found Art and Soul working together, supporting me through what would be the deepest quest for awakening I have ever experienced. Art and Soul sustained, guided, and forever changed me. Art that creates itself in the layers of paint, while I get to unwrap the present to see what hides behind.
STATEMENT
As I breeze through space and time; I am reminded that I am but a speck of dust existing in this vast universe. My soul, like a mirror, reflects the depths and breadth of those experiences. It is where my intuition lives; guiding, deploying help, working overtime to keep going in the right direction. This is where I come to grow my voice, find courage, peace, healing and also accountability on my own actions and let go. We can all create ourselves a place like this. Through these works, I show you parts of my special place.
In this collection, I drop the viewer in the middle of my self-discovery and healing journey, going forward to this day. The earlier works were more focused on my past, where and whom I came from and memories of childhood. I connected with visions of my heritage, trials and tribulations, insights and awakenings all come together to tell the story of a long journey, traveled long before I came along. It was important to see the progression from hardship, wars, battles, triumphs and sacrifice to a growing ease moving forward in time. Through this exhibition, I hope to convey that tapping inward is the source of understanding, forgiveness and fulfilment. I hope to inspire others to profoundly discover themselves, on a journey of one’s own, travelling alone to the depths of one’s soul. For that is where the magic lives. Living one’s life is, after all, art in motion; uniquely beautiful and painful; contrived and messy, at best, a mixture of all those things.
